The Patient Access Supervisor is an integral part of the Patient Access Leadership Team and provides supervisory direction and direct front-line oversight to distinct sections of the Patient Access Department. Responsibilities include assisting with staff interviews, assisting in completing performance appraisals, leading department meetings, staff orientation and education, and assisting in payroll functions. The successful candidate will monitor and assist with effective patient flow in the scheduling, pre-registration and registration areas, provide assistance with monitoring scheduling, pre-registration, and registration accuracy and performance improvement activities in all of Patient Access. The Supervisor will conduct daily briefings and participant in department rounding as directed. The Supervisor will also provide support in radiology scheduling, order entry, insurance verification, pre-registration and registration functions as needed. An Associate’s Degree is required. Patient Registration, scheduling and/or medical office experience is required.
