• High School level of knowledge.
• Medical Terminology or Equivalent work experience
• Experience with medical terminology,
• Typing skill of 65 wpm with accuracy is a must:
• compliance with HIPAA confidentiality standards when accessing or communicating patient information.
• Ability to use a personal computer must have understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments to the extent required to understand and accurately transcribe reports.
• Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to learn and use all functions of the electronic medical record software.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft word, Excel and use of the internet to access information, prepare reports and research information
