Salvatore's Hoagie Shop was established in January of 2023 by a husband and wife team with extensive experience in all aspects of the restaurant industry. We have quickly grown in popularity, largely due to the fact that we bake our own hoagie rolls. We are looking to expand in the coming months and are ready to trust the right person with our signature rolls.

We as a company and a family firmly believe in the importance of work/life balance and will always prioritize this with our employees. That being said, the baking position comes with full flexibility in scheduling and 24/7 access to our state of the art baking facility/kitchen in South Portland. As long as supply demands are being met you will be able to make your own schedule.

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team. The Baker will be responsible for preparing our signature hoagie rolls and potentially other items while maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency in our kitchen. You will be working independently in a state of the art facility while having the ability to create your own schedule (24 hour a day access to the kitchen).

**Responsibilities:**

- Prepare and bake a wide range of bread, pastries, and other baked goods

- Follow recipes and production schedules to meet demands

- Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofing cabinets

- Ensure proper storage and handling of all food products

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Collaborate with Owners/Chef to develop new recipes and products

**Skills:**

- Experience in the food industry a plus with a focus on baking

- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding quality standards

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
