Located just outside of Saluda, South Carolina, Saluda Nursing and Rehab Center is a non-profit 176-bed nursing care facility, serving the Midlands and Lakelands since 1968. We offer 24/7 skilled nursing care and our staff is consistent, compassionate, caring and knowledgeable.

Applicant must be able to perform a variety of custodian and housecleaning functions under specific instructions and with very little need for direct supervision. Adapted to repetitive cleaning operations throughout the workday. Will have to be cross-trained between laundry and housekeeping duties.

Job Duties:

• Cleans and services living areas, rooms, baths, and offices.
• Cleans, mops, and polishes floors.
• Dust furniture and equipment.
• Cleans window sills, empty trash baskets, and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion.
• Clean and polish bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar equipment.
• Sorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size and material.
• Wrapping laundry items for pickup or delivery to residents.
• Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols.
• Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment.
• Unloading laundry from commercial dryers.
• Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener.
• Creating laundry tags with identifiable resident information.
• Any and all other duties that the Environmental Services Manager may assign.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push heavy equipment at one-hour intervals without a rest.
