Salthouse Smiles Pediatric Dentistry is Hiring a Pediatric/Orthodontic Dental Assistant Near St. Louis, MO

Our vision is to create facilities that increase access to dental care for children and deliver proper education to families in order to treat and prevent oral health disease.

This is a part-time position in Des Peres, Missouri working 32 hours/week. Salthouse Smiles is looking for someone who is high-energy, positive and works cohesively with the team. ```Duties```
- Assist in providing quality orthodontic and pediatric care to patients
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Assist with dental procedures such as placing brackets, bands, and wires
- Maintain accurate patient records and update patient charts in software
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the front desk as needed
- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure infection control and patient safety
- Perform basic dental receptionist duties, including answering phone calls and managing patient inquiries as needed

```Qualifications```
- Previous experience as an orthodontic assistant preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and oral health procedures
- Experience with record taking and Dolphin
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain positive relationships with patients

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
