Server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus, and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, wed like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers. Responsibilities
- Take orders from customers for food and beverages
- Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
- Maintain a working knowledge of food and drink menu items, promotions, ingredients, and prep time
- Communicate customer orders to kitchen staff
- Collect customer payments and provide change in a timely and courteous manner
- Must have 1 year high-volume restaurant experience
- You have excellent communication skills, can stand for long periods of time, and are able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Provide great hospitality by going above and beyond for every guest
- Know the menu and be able to make genuine recommendations
- Keep it clean. You treat your tables like theyre in your own home.
- Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment
- Respond to on-the-fly requests with ease and poise
- Understand POS systems and OpenTable (or other digital/online reservation systems)
- Availability to work weekends and some holidays
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
