Crossroads is an Arizona Department of Health Services licensed substance abuse treatment provider with proven expertise in serving addicted men, women, and Veterans through the provision of high quality, successful, and affordable residential and outpatient recovery programs.

Job Title: Assistant Program Coordinator

Reports To: Program Coordinator

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Summary: The Assistant Program Coordinator (APC) supports and assists the Program Coordinator in all aspects of resident services. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of program coordinator duties including but not limited to intake, orientation, resident file creation and maintenance, fee collection and receipt issuance.
  • Open office, manage office phones, prioritize and deliver messages, sort and deliver mail.
  • Compose and type routine correspondence, make copies, and file material, as needed.
  • Make copies, collates, staples and files materials as needed.
  • Support night managers with training and assistance to enhance job performance.
  • Maintain and distribute documentation, files, and pertinent information to night managers.
  • Assist in the self-administration of medication and supervise medication log maintenance and filing.
  • Monitor resident meeting cards and make phone or personal contact with sponsors.
  • Discuss issues regarding program requirements, fees, and/or conflicts with residents.
  • Provide facility tours and informational sessions to referring agencies and prospective residents.
  • Assist residents in completing applications for government assistance, handling legal issues, and referrals to independent agencies.
  • Observe and enforce internal policies and procedures and behavioral health licensure, local, state, and federal rules and regulations
  • Performs other duties, as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 1-2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • A working knowledge of addiction, recovery, and twelve step programs.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with internal and external audiences.
  • Current Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Must maintain high ethical standards and demonstrate sound judgment, problem solving skills, and strong organizational skills.
  • Computer/Microsoft Office experience.

  • While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
