Overview:
We are a small charter school located in Herriman, Utah (Salt Lake Academy High School). We offer in person school Mon-Thurs with a short day on Fridays.

We are seeking a dedicated Bus Driver to help with morning and afternoon bus routes Mon-Friday. Between routes, we offer the opportunity to earn additional income by serving as a hall monitor for a few hours every day. There is also opportunities to drive bus to games and activities.

To ensure the safety and well-being of students during their transportation to and from school. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, possess strong communication skills, and be able to manage student behavior effectively.

Responsibilities:
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus safely
- Implement behavior management strategies as needed
- Communicate effectively with students and administration
- Provide support to students with special needs or behavioral challenges
- Educate students on bus safety rules and regulations
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment

Qualifications:
- Experience working with students or in a childcare setting
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults
- First aid certification preferred
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations
- Classroom experience is advantageous

Hall monitor duties include walking the halls to ensure students are following school rules. Weather permitting you may circle the perimeter of the building. The ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time is a must. Ability to use the stairs is a must.

Need to be a firm but kind presence on campus. Understand the importance of rules and help the students make good decisions when in the halls.

If you do not have your CDL and Bus Endorsement we will pay for your training.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
