Job Summary:As a salon receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the salon. You will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, managing appointments, handling phone calls, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

Client Interaction:

Greet clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Schedule appointments and manage the salon's booking system.
Answer phone calls and provide information about services, pricing, and availability.
Ensure clients' needs and requests are addressed promptly and effectively.

Administrative Tasks:

Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
Keep records of client information and appointments.
Assist with inventory management for salon products and supplies.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate when necessary.
Offer refreshments and ensure clients are comfortable while waiting.

Salon Support:

Assist stylists and technicians by coordinating client appointments and services.
Communicate schedule changes and updates to salon staff.
Keep track of salon equipment and report maintenance needs.

Retail Sales:

Promote and sell salon products and merchandise to clients.
Provide product recommendations based on clients' needs and preferences.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with salon services and products is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using salon software or booking systems.
  • Basic knowledge of cash handling procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required by the salon's hours of operation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
