Salary for this position is based on years of experience and ranges from $33.47 to $41.49 per hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in accordance to unit standards for all
patient types and age groups. Ability to function autonomously. Keeps patients informed of
progress and delays, explains tests and procedures. Actively involves patient in the plan of care.
2. Reviews, signs and completes all written and verbal physician orders.
3. Communicates verbally, and documents in the medical record, changes in the patient's
condition to the physician and the Supervisor.
4. Directly provides patient care while delegating to unlicensed personnel appropriate tasks.
5. Provides patient care while considering the holistic needs of the patient and family.
6. Collaborates with surgeon and anesthesia provider to coordinate the patient's care.
7. Assists the Nurse Manager to proactively solve problems affecting patient care and with the
quality improvement program.
8. Rotates to other nursing units to accommodate the changing census and needs of the facility as
well as during emergencies when needed.
9. Regularly attends scheduled in-services.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree (ADN), Bachelor's is preferred from an accredited nursing program.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain current, active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.
Must maintain current CPR certification.
Must maintain current ACLS certification.
Must maintain current PALS certification.
HRRMC's Surgery Department has a Full Time ( 40 hours/ week) opening for a RN to work in Same Day Surgery. A Registered Nurse (RN) for Same Day Surgery and PACU is able to independently assess and evaluate the health status of all presenting patients utilizing objective and subjective data and identifying health care problems. The RN must maintain safe and effective care throughout the operative situations. The
SDS/PACU RN helps to plan, implement and evaluate treatment of surgical patients, interacting closely with patients, family members and other healthcare professionals.
