ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. Performs patient care as assigned by the registered nurse. Patient care always includes:
assisting with admissions, discharges, obtaining vital signs, discontinue IVs, weighing patients,
blood glucose test, urine pregnancy test, and answering call lights on all SDS patients.
2. Promptly reports all changes in patients' conditions to the patients' Primary Nurse.
3. Performs other tasks in the unit as assigned.
4. Provides a safe and clean environment for all patients on the unit.
5. Transports patients as needed to other areas of the hospital and when being discharged.
6. Cleans and prepares patient rooms for admissions, stripping and making beds.
7. Cleans utility rooms and other unit areas.
9. Orders patient care and office supplies.
10. Stocks patient and storage rooms.
11. Checks and organize fax inbox for patient information.
12. Deep clean bedside cabinets, underside of beds and wheelchairs.

13. Assists Pre Admit Testing staff with chart building prn.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain current CPR certification.
Must maintain current CNA certification.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED; certification as a nursing assistant required.
