ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Masters and maintains proficiency of Clinics Cisco phone system
2. Practices telephone courtesy at all times, utilizing AIDET, and appropriate scripting.
3. Answers telephone promptly
a. Transfers callers to other areas of the hospital when needed
b. Transfers callers wishing to schedule a clinics appointment to Clinics scheduler, PAS Ill and/or practice coordinators.
c. Minimizes time on phone with each caller, to maximize efficiency, so callers are not on hold for extended periods of time.
4. Cancels/confirms appointments for OPP providers, at callers request
5. Basic knowledge of Aprima
a. Proficient at verifying patient demographics and adding new patients
b. Updating demographics
i. Ensures correct patient name spelling, date of birth, insurance
c. Creates accurate yet concise phone message tasks to nursing care teams through Aprima task messaging.
d. Creates task message for other non-clinical staff as needed.
6. Utilizes all communication tools, Tiger Connect, Aprima instant messaging, to effectively communicate or alert different sub-categories in the clinics.
