Within the Marketing organization, the Event Technology & Insights team delivers a cutting-edge technology stack that enhances in-person, digital, and on-demand experiences across Salesforce's global brand activations, including a robust events marketing portfolio and content marketing initiatives. Our industry-leading platforms and solutions help connect target audiences to the content they need, when and where they need it, so that it is as easy as possible for them to learn about how to use Salesforce products and drive business growth.
Whether customers and prospects are navigating our events ecosystem or on the product buying journey, we aim to deepen their relationship with Salesforce, accelerate learning and networking opportunities, and boost marketing performance. Our innovations range from the Salesforce events mobile app to Salesforce to AI-powered personalization tools.
Event Technology & Insights is looking for a senior analyst who will be responsible for developing and delivering strategic, data-driven narratives that report on attendee experiences at some of the best events in the world. You'll translate meaningful trends and patterns in Event Technology adoption, usage, and effectiveness into compelling stories that inform strategic investments and efforts for in-person, digital, and on-demand Salesforce experiences.

Your Impact
Success will be measured by the ability of the senior analyst to develop high quality insights reports that evaluate the performance and impact of Event Technology innovations on attendees at in-person, digital, and on-demand Salesforce experiences.

  • Develop project plans, in collaboration with Event Technology analytics leader, to evaluate specific in-person, digital, and on-demand attendee experiences, with a focus on Event Technology engagement and impact
  • Gather data from multiple sources including Salesforce, Google Analytics, and other third-party data systems
  • Utilize Excel and Tableau to identify and synthesize trends, patterns, and insights across diverse types and forms of event data representing attendee behavior and engagement in-person, online, and via mobile app.
  • Build custom reports in Google Slides and custom narratives in Google Docs and Slack that communicate strategic findings and recommendations using clear, clean data visualizations where relevant
  • Ensure deliverables meet timelines and quality standards
  • Actively participate in report share-outs with senior leadership
  • Partner with disparate data teams, where relevant, to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency
  • Build relationships and trust with cross-functional partners and stakeholders who have a diverse set of needs and biases, including product managers, operations managers, event strategists, event marketers, and content marketers

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).
  • 3 years experience in data analytics, market research, and/or consulting
  • Proficiency with analytics tools, like Excel and Tableau
  • Strong analytic problem solving skills with a desire to continually dig beyond the surface for deeper-level insights
  • Strong report design and data visualization skills, with a proven ability to distill data into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences that persuade, inspire, and motivate
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with peers and cross-functional partners
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, startup environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working with marketing teams or having been part of a marketing organization
  • Experience working with product analytics and/or web analytics
