Responsibilities: Responsibility for developing, planning, implementing andevaluation activity programs for residents in accordance with state and federalregulations. Ensure that the spiritual, emotional, recreational, leisure andsocial needs of the residents are maintained on a group and individual basis. Qualifications: • CTRS, MMT, or AT preferred. • Must have RAC and be in good standing, ifnot a CTRS, MMT, or AT. • At least 1 year of experience working in theActivities Department in a healthcare setting. • Must have the ability to read and write inEnglish and follow oral and written directions. • Must have a genuine interest and caring forthe elderly. • Must be able to relate positively toresidents and family and to work cooperatively with other employees. • Must be capable of maintaining regularattendance. • Must meet all federal, state and localhealth regulations and pass a post-employment-offer physical exam. Thisrequirement includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and referenceinquiries. • Must be able to perform the essentialfunctions of this job, with or without accommodation. • Must be aware of the recreational needs ofthe elderly and cognitively impaired.
