**Description**
Salem Media Representatives (SMR) is seeking an experienced Sales Coordinator to provide administrative support for our national sales team. SMRs national media strategists are among the best in our industry and therefore the selling environment is extremely fast-paced. Sales Coordinators must be able to quickly understand and anticipate the needs of account managers and provide the appropriate administrative support accurately and in a timely manner so the account managers can devote the majority of their time in front of clients maximizing revenue opportunities. Sales Coordinators act as a liaison between our account managers, our advertising clients and agencies, and our owned & operated and partner radio stations.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Broadcast order entry (via internal Counterpoint Traffic system)
* Gathering and coordination of station/network info, rates, pre/post-logs, scripts, spot transcriptions, air checks, affidavits, invoices, etc. and other various sales staff, client and station requests
* Assist with the creation, proofing and assembly of sales pieces, sales proposals, promotional recaps, client PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and other correspondence as needed
* Coordinating traffic/spots for both station and network orders
* Scheduling conference calls, appointments, etc.
* Daily use of RAB contact management website
* Acts as a back-up for account managers and support staff
* Expense reports
* Various other projects or requests as needed
SMR Sales Coordinators must possess the follow qualifications:
* Strong organizational and time management skills - able to focus on urgent and important tasks, avoids procrastination, shows strong attention to detail, able to multi-task, follows through and meets all deadlines
* Adapts easily and quickly to daily shifts in priorities and urgencies
* Takes ownership of assignments and tasks - has aptitude in problem-solving and an intuitive ability to anticipate further needs
* Proficient in all Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and has the ability to learn new systems quickly
* Professional verbal and effective written communication skills
* Maintains a positive attitude and is a team player
