Your Role With Us:Ultrasound TechnologistAs an Ultrasound Technologist with Salem Health Hospital, you will be responsible for using appropriate techniques to perform ultrasound examinations while delivering top-notch patient care. Exceptional communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills are a must in this role to provide complete and accurate diagnostic information. You will be tasked with using your knowledge to tailor exams to meet the specific needs of pediatric, adolescent and/or geriatric patients while obtaining quality exams.Core Functions:Perform procedures in compliance with department's technical procedure manual or deviations requested by attending radiologist.Correlate sonographic findings with clinical findings and results of previous imaging exams.Analyze examination for completeness, Document findings, Gather additional information beyond that called for by standard protocols when necessary.Provide pertinent communication to the patient, significant others, and health care providers.Utilize imaging equipment to assist radiologist with guidance and localization. Experience:One (1) year of experience as an Ultrasound Tech preferred. Not Required.Licenses/ Certification/ Registration: BLS from the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire Must have an active Sonography license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI). License can either be permanent or temporary.
