Your Role With Us:

As a member of Salem Health Spiritual Care Team, you will be responsible for providing spiritual support and guidance that honors the patient's beliefs and values. You'll be dedicated to serving patients and families with love and delivering the highest quality care. You'll not only have the opportunity to use your skills to make a real difference, but you'll also be part of an inclusive, respectful work environment filled with peers who have answered the call to care for others. Every interaction, no matter how big or small, is to serve with love, providing comfort and support through compassionate care and meaningful experiences.

Background/Expertise:

  • Bachelor degree in theology, counseling, divinity or related field required. Master of Divinity or Philosophy preferred.
  • Experience or training in spiritual care - Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent required.
  • A heart to serve patients & families and a passion or providing the best possible care required.
  • 2 years experience in as a chaplain in a clinical setting or hospice preferred. Experience in issues of loss, grief, death and dying preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
