- Develop electrical distribution and emergency generator system designs and documentation in AutoCAD/Revit.
- Design lighting systems, electrical, and fire alarm systems.
- Perform electrical load calculations and select and size equipment
- Edit electrical system specifications
- Survey existing buildings and identify electrical systems and components
- Review submittals of equipment for compliance with the contract documents
- Observe and report on electrical construction work in progress
- Collaborate with project team members and leaders
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of direct, hands-on electrical design and project management experience in existing buildings
- NYC Building Codes, National Electric Code, NFPA Codes, and NYC Energy Code
- Electrical systems including power, lighting, communication, security, and fire alarm
- Electrical design for HVAC replacement projects
- Load and voltage drop calculations
- Design of new electrical service
- Emergency generator/ATS
- UPS
- PV design on existing buildings
- Written specifications
- Project management
- AutoCAD
- Strong communication skills for client interface
