Early Childhood Education Prevention Initiative Assistant Teacher 
BASE WAGE $16-$17.50 per hour based on education level.

DESCRIPTION
Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers, part of SAL Community Services, is the Quad Cities areas leading provider of early childhood care and education and now include the Prevention Initiative program. We provide a safe, secure and supportive environment centered on how playing can charge the mind of the children we care for.

As an Early Childhood Prevention Initiative Assistant Teacher on our team, you will create a quality learning environment that actively engages children to both learn and play. You will play a role in enhancing the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth of children. This means you'll do things like:
  • Ensure lesson plans are followed;
  • Assess the developmental needs of children to build their knowledge and skills;
  • Develop positive working relationships with families; and,
  • Participate in personal development to grow your own knowledge, skills and abilities as an early childhood educator.

Salary, benefits and perks
Due to current funding from the Illinois Apprenticeship Pilot Project dependent on education and Illinois Gateways to Opportunity Credential attainment hourly pay for this position ranges from $16.00-$17.50. Additional details regarding this project will be discussed upon interview.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A full list of job responsibilities will be provided prior to an interview. Education and Experience
Required: Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalency certificate (GED). Preferred: Experience working with children.
