Sakura Teppanyaki is a quick service restaurant located in the food court of Acadiana Mall

Maylea - Acadiana Mall is looking for a Cashier to manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. Cashier duties and responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts, giving change, observing cashless transactions and consulting customers about special deals and discounts, making purchases, and maintaining inventory. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a cash register or similar position, good math skills and an eye for quality. Ultimately, you’ll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage transactions with customers using cash register
• Make purchasing decisions or recommendations to customers based on current customer profile
• Give customers change, tickets, or payment options
• Inspect cash drawers to ensure accuracy of cash handling procedures are correct
• Maintain customer satisfaction by achieving standards of service and satisfaction
• Assist other departments when needed
• Make sure all registers are working properly (counting change, drawing funds)
• Maintain equipment in good condition (shipping supplies, cleaning equipment)
• Deal with customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions or alternatives within the company policy (helpdesk) or department (interior sales)
• Keep track of inventory in the store proper and communicate status to management team
• Clean up the store at end of day
• Maintain store appearance and maintain positive customer attitude by following instructions from management team or following hygiene rules

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
