WANTED: Assistant Coach

Saints Soccer Academy is a growing youth soccer club based in Portland. Our primary practice fields are Delta Park, Salvation Army, PSU and Columbia Park. We’re looking for several Assistant Coaches for our boys & girls teams ages 6-17. We are looking to fill these openings immediately.

The successful candidates will possess the following background and qualities:

EXPERIENCE

Previous soccer coaching and/or playing experience.

A passion for the game of soccer and the development of young players.
Teaching experience in a school or athletic setting.
Excellent communicator. Ability to relate to young people.
Extremely high ethical standards.
College degree preferable, but could be substituted for experience.
The ability to be a strong role model for players on and off the field.
Highly organized with the ability to multitask.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
Assisting Head Coach with preparing weekly coaching plans.
Coaching 2-3 practices per week. All practices take place after 5pm M-Th.
Coaching 1-2 regional and Portland area games each weekend Jan-March 2023.
