Summary

As a member of the patient care team, performs activities and functions, under the direction of the Nurse, which includes direct patient care and support of unit functions in a manner that is consistent with safe and effective delivery of patient care.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma required.
• Nursing Assistant I competency.

EXPERIENCE:

• One year clinical experience required.
• EMT or critical care experience desirable.

PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Communicates and collaborates with all members of the hospital, community, families of patients, volunteers, visitors, and students.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position and its location.
