We are seeking an experienced, versatile individual to fill the role of Director of Maintenance/Environmental Services at the newest campus of one of Minnesota's leading nonprofit senior housing and service providers. This position is responsible for and oversees all maintenance, repair, safety compliance and upkeep activities for the Community. This position is also responsible for the proper operation of all equipment, mechanical systems, and grounds systems. In addition, requires planning, organizing, and developing the overall operation of the Environmental Services departments of housekeeping and laundry in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines. This position requires good organizational and prioritizing skills to ensure that all interior and exterior maintenance represents the quality image the Community is portraying.

Location Information 

Saint Therese offers a continuum of care and services available in a person's own home or in one of our five Twin Cities communities: New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, Woodbury, and our newest location Corcoran!

Saint Therese of Corcoran is set to open in August 2024. This campus is full of social vibrancy in an urban setting, distinctive living spaces and a variety of amenities to create an experience the resident is looking for to create their future home. The campus will offer 153 independent, assisted living and memory care apartments. Amenities of the site include dining options, wellness center with pool, library, lounge area, golf simulator, salon, and wood shop area.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Minimum five years of mechanical engineering; professional level expertise; two years of management or supervisory experience is required.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC
• Effective time management/prioritization and problem-solving skills
• OSHA Regulations
• Managerial and Supervisory skills
• Knowledge of MN Nursing Home Rules and Regulations
• Knowledge of CMS Federal Nursing Home Regulations
• Knowledge of housekeeping equipment and supplies
• Effective time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Possess computer skills to develop and maintain tracking tools.
• Experience with housekeeping/maintenance software helpful.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
