Power Plant Operator
Plant Operations
The Power Plant Operator maintains and operates all power plant equipment to provide the Hospital with uninterrupted steam, hot and chilled water, compressed air, lighting and emergency power.
The Power Plant Operator will :
- Operate high pressure boilers and a variety of power plant equipment such as CHP, generators, fuel systems and air compressors
- Perform preventative maintenance, maintaining all operating logs, assisting during emergencies such as snow, fire, flood, and power loss
Requirements :
- Must be able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
- Must possess a current NJ Blue Seal Stationary Engineer's license.
- Environment exposes operator to varying temperature conditions and high noise levels.
- Environment exposes operator to electrical, mechanical and temperature hazards.
- Valid and in good standing driver’s license issued by the state of New Jersey preferred due to the possibility of driving a facility vehicle to our various locations.
