Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Associate Dean for Graduate Business and the Associate Director of Academic Services, the Academic Services and International Relations Manager will provide administrative, organizational, logistical and operational support functions for SEBA Graduate Business international students. The Academic Services and International Relations Manager will also provide administrative and operational support for SEBA global study tour and immersion programs.
In addition, the Academic Services and International Relations Manager is expected to support overall Graduate Business programs, as requested by the Associate Dean for Graduate Business and the Associate Director of Academic Services.
Assist the Associate Dean of Graduate Business and the Associate Director of Academic Services with supporting all Graduate Business Programs international students with administrative, organizational, logistical, and operational support including:
  • New student onboarding
  • New Student orientation
  • On-going academic services support throughout the program
  • Registration
  • Commencement
Assist the Associate Director of Academic Services with administrative and logistical support for all SEBA inbound and outbound study tours.
Graduate Business Program event management and development of events to support international students. Coordinatewith multiple SMC departments including Meetings Events & Conference Services (MECS) and SMC facilities and IT services. Events include new student orientations, End of Program celebrations, international student group catering including dinners, workshops, etc.
Manage the purchasing and distribution of all Graduate Business Program materials and supplies including:
  • HBR case study orders and simulations for all Graduate Business courses
  • Swag inventory. place orders/reorder as needed for events and gifts
Develop processes to specifically support the unique needs of international students
Other Duties As Assigned:
a) Provide back-up administrative and logistical support for various Gradudate Business needs
Experience and Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Required: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 5 years managerial work experience, international experience a plus.
Skills / Abilities: strong program development and management skills in a global setting. Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills including Google Docs, Social Media, Excel, as well as global communication tools such as Zoom and WhatsApp. Demonstrable cross-cultural communication skills, and ability to manage degree programs and certificate programs in different cultural contexts. Demonstrated ability to make new connections and manage existing partnerships with organizations in international locations. Experience in organizing and executing study to tours a plus. Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with all members of a multi-culturally diverse campus community and overseas partners. Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Other Requirements:
Occasional evening and weekend event assignments including local travel.
Occasional overseas assignments may include international travel.
