Job Summary:

The Pre-Press would be responsible for receiving and/or typesetting artwork as requested by customers. In this role you would proof all artwork on our templates and make plates upon approval.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Retrieving and managing artworkfiles
• Proofing
• Scanning
• Platemaking
• Archiving
• Stocking
• Maintenance

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be proficient in Adobe in Design, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat professional
• Must be proficient in retrieving and managing artwork files in both Macintosh and Windows operating systems
• Must know industry standard pre-press requirements
• Proficiency with Enfocus Pitstop, MS Office, Extensis Suitcase, Prinergy and Esko Grapholis are a plus
• Experience with Lithographic and Flexographic setup and platemaking is preferred
• Experience with setup for die cutting, flat sheet and web presses is preferred
• Proficiency with Imposition and Step and Repeat would be beneficial
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and challenging environment
• Occasionally may need to lift 50 lbs. to a hand truck or shelf, to restock materials
• Must occasionally perform labor intense maintenance

Education and Experience:

• High school education or equivalent required
• 5 years pre-press production preferred
