Middle School Religion Teacher

St Louis de Montfort School, Fishers is seeking a full time Catholic Religion teacher for Middle School (grades 6-8). The position will begin with the 24-25 school year. We are looking for a dynamic, faith-filled teacher who wants to be part of a close supportive faith community and who is passionate about the Catholic faith.

The teacher will provide the following services:

• Provide students with engaging instruction
• Provide students with appropriate assessments
• Plan for individual differences and levels of learning
• Maintain classroom management
• Participate in additional shared school duties
• Collaborate successfully with others
• Instruct students in knowledge of the Catholic faith, Catechism of the Catholic Church, and more

Employee Qualifications:

• Since this is a religious ministerial position, the teacher must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
• Have an ability to develop students’ understanding of the Catholic faith
• Be an example of Christ and live according to Catholic principles.
• Have completed coursework or a degree in Catholic Theology
• Pass “Safe and Sacred” Certification
• Pass criminal background check
• Participate in professional development, teacher committees, and meetings
• Be a model of Christian beliefs
