DescriptionJOB SUMMARYProvides direct patient care and performs specified procedures under the direct supervision of the RN or LPN.
Job Duties
- Actively demonstrates the organization’s mission and core values, and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values.
- Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information.
- Provides direct patient care according to age specific guidelines and established policies and procedures
- Communicates patient related data and requests to appropriate team members.
- Assists in meeting the patient’s nutritional needs.
- Assists with ambulation to including walkers, canes, prostheses, etc.
- Maintains a safe environment by adhering to Hospital policies and procedures for isolation techniques, use of restraints, and falls prevention. Reports any unsafe condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Documents and reports care delivered per policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or as workload or staffing variations require.
Licensure: CNA license preferred. CPR certification on hire or able to attain within 60 days.
Experience: Experience in patient care preferred.
Other Job Requirements: Ability to respond with flexible and changing workload of patient assignments.
Ability to perform as a team member, supporting a patient focused environment in all interactions with patients, families, visitors and volunteers.
Knowledge of basic nursing practices.
Knowledge of principles of body mechanics.
Knowledge of methods of maintaining a safe, working environment.
Assigned hours within your shift, starting time, or days of work are subject to change based on departmental and/or organizational needs.
