As an OR Nurse Manager for outpatient surgery procedures, you will oversee all aspects of patient care, resource management, and operational efficiency to ensure safe and effective outcomes for patients undergoing surgical interventions. This is a complex role that will involve coordination, supervision, and clinical oversight. Bonus Options: $20,000 bonus ( paid out as stipends every 90 days ) Shift’s Available: Days – Monday through Friday Employment Type: Full Time - no weekends Hours: 8hr Essential Duties And Responsibilities (includes, But Not Limited To)
responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels for outpatient procedures in the Operating Room (OR), which may involve creating schedules, assigning staff, and coordinating with other departments to meet patient needs while optimizing efficiency
manage resources within the OR, including medical equipment, supplies, and medications required for outpatient procedures, including that all necessary materials are available and in good working condition
as the RN Manager for the OR, you will supervise patient care coordination throughout outpatient surgery procedures, ensure patients are adequately prepared, coordinate with anesthesia providers, and oversee post-procedure care and recovery
ensure that all outpatient procedures in the OR meet regulatory and quality standards, which involves adherence to infection control protocols, patient safety measures, and compliance with relevant policies and procedures
provide clinical supervision and support to Operating Room staff, including circulating nurses, scrub nurses, surgical technologists, and other support personnel, you may also provide guidance on patient care issues, assist with complex cases, and facilitate staff training and development
ensure effective teamwork and coordination, facilitate communication among surgical team members, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals involved in outpatient procedures and throughout the perioperative process
event of emergencies or complications during outpatient procedures, the RN OR Manager will provide leadership and direction to the surgical team, coordinate efforts to ensure prompt and appropriate patient care
consult with staff, physicians, and nurse executives on nursing issues and hospital policy interpretation to meet patient needs, while also overseeing performance improvement and quality improvement activities and contributing to departmental budget formulation
Qualifications Education and Work Experience
Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse
BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintenance
A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience is necessary
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferred
CNOR; preferred
Current ACLS (AHA) Certification upon hire and maintaining current
At least two (2) years of experience in Surgical Nursing
Current PALS (AHA) certification for those facilities caring for the pediatric population
