The Head Women’s Soccer Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for all aspects of the women’s soccer program at Saint Elizabeth University. The Head coach is responsible for the development, coaching, organization, recruitment and management of the men’s soccer program.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead, coach, direct, and manage all aspects of the softball program.
  • Oversee the recruitment of qualified student-athletes in accordance with University standards.
  • Direct, mentor, and motivate athletes to prepare for competition through practices and skill development.
  • Manage and supervise all game day activities and travel.
  • Monitor team fiscal and community service activities, including camps, clinics, and rentals.
  • Ensure the team meets all NCAA, CSAC, and institutional compliance standards.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of NCAA playing rules.
  • Comply with all applicable Federal, State, local laws.
  • Assist with athletics-sponsored events, where applicable.
  • Communicate regularly with administrators, athletic training staff, support staff, coaching staff, and student-athletes.
  • Serve on appropriate and applicable campus committees.
  • Work collaboratively with and effectively with a diverse student-athlete, student, faculty, staff population.
  • Attend and participate in departmental, conference, and university-wide meetings, regional and national committees related to duties and responsibilities.
  • Design and implement strength training and conditioning programs in-season and off-season for all University athletic programs
  • Collaborate with athletic training staff in the rehabilitation and strengthening of injured student-athletes.
  • Annually conduct and review a departmental risk management plan.
  • Conduct a quarterly evaluation of weight room training equipment.
  • Other opportunities and duties could include assistant athletic director, compliance, student welfare, senior woman administrator, business operations, contracts, etc. commensurate based on experience.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and previous, successful coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level required. Frequent travel is also required (including nights and weekends).

The successful candidate must also possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Recruiting experience,
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
  • CPR/AED Certification,
  • First Aid Certification, and a
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strength & Conditioning Certification
