The Head Track & Field Coach is responsible for the recruitment, development, coaching, organization and management of the Men's and Women's Track & Field program.

Reporting

SEU Head Men's and Women's Track & Field Coach reports to the Director of Athletics.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Recruitment of prospective student-athletes and retention of current student-athletes.
2. Ensure the safety and well-being of team members and supervision.
3. Coordinate and supervise the track & field program and team
4. Promote an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
5. Design a training program and meet schedules.
6. Ensuring athletic compliance with:
   1. NCAA Division III,
   2. United East Conference
   3. Instructions from the SEU Athletic Trainer, and
   4. SEU rules and regulations, including the timely filing of any paperwork, reports and/or reimbursement requests.
7. Organize fundraising projects and other programs sponsored by the Athletic Department.
8. Maintain all sports equipment.
9. Manage team study hall and maintain academic standards set by SEU, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and previous, successful coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level required. Frequent travel is also required (including nights and weekends).

The successful candidate must also possess:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
• Recruiting experience,
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
• CPR/AED Certification,
• First Aid Certification, and a
• Valid Driver's License
