Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about working with students aged 3-14 years old. Working mostly in group settings, our ideal candidate is enthusiastic, professional, safety oriented, and has some level of experience working with pre-K, elementary and/or middle school students. As a Lunch/Recess/Afterschool Monitor, you will supervise students in the cafeteria, rooftop, hallways and other zones throughout the school.

Responsibilities:
- Work in small groups with students to provide support.
- Teach and communicate expectations, and reinforce safety and respect.
- Support teachers and other monitors in transitions.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians as needed.
- Show up as a consistent figure for students during lunch, recess and afterschool.
- Implement behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to address students' individual needs.
- Encourage self-expression with a firm but fair childcare attitude.

- Communicate incidents and accidents that occur in various recess/afterschool locations to the site Director.

- Keep the job about the kids and enjoy the time we have to safely guide them through their development!

Experience:
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with students of different ages.
- Experience in conflict management and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- First aid certification is an asset.
