Primary Job Duties, include but are not limited to:

• Execute physician orders thoroughly and safely
• Administers and documents all types of medications according to pharmacy and drug administration policies and procedures
• Performs a variety of treatments that may not be done by a CNA
• Glucoscan test
• Internal feedings and irrigations
• Insertions, installation and irrigation of urinary catheters
• Administers special skin care procedures
• Perform sterile dressing changes
• Operate special equipment for procedures
• Report personal illness or skin lesions and defective equipment or other potentially hazardous items
• Contributes information for revision in the resident plan of care
• Supplies ongoing summary documentations as required for MDS/PPS purposes

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate from a State accredited school with a valid Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) in the State of Indiana
• Must have completed an approved medication course
• CPR & First Aid Certified
• Minimum of 3 years in a long-term care facility, preferred
