Position: Senior Data Scientist

Location: Hanover MD

Job Description:
Senior Data Scientist with 5 years of experience with:
1. Advanced analytics, predictive modeling and machine learning to solve business problems
2. Programming languages to manipulate and analyze data, including Python, R, and/or Java
3. Experience with any of the following: NLP, building or tuning neural networks (especially LLMs), database experience (e.g., ElasticSearch, Snowflake, SQL).
4. Using SQL to conduct complex database queries
5. Deep knowledge of Big Data platforms, such as Snowflake and/or BiqQuery
6. Proven track record of recommending, designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale AI solutions that provide business value

Minimum Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree or higher computer science, statistics, or other related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
7 years in data scientist, machine learning, or data engineering role
Strong understanding of modern data science patterns and algorithms
Strong understanding of machine learning
Strong understanding of data engineering, structure, formatting, conditioning and analysis
Knowledge of database tools and current data science processes
Experience with any of the following: NLP, building or tuning neural networks (especially LLMs), database experience (e.g., ElasticSearch, Snowflake, SQL).
Maintain, move, and manipulate data between applications, using appropriate software/code: Apache Spark, ElasticSearch, R, Python, Kibana and others as technology evolves.
Experience in data applications using large scale distributed systems (e.g., EMR, Spark, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Pig, and Hive)
