Description
SAIC is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Middletown, RI.
Job Duties:
- Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
- May design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
- Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- May estimate manufacturing cost determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
- May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
- Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
- Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations including Manufacturing Bill of Materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant experience; years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Must have the ability to obtain a SECRET level clearance.
- Must have experience with some of the following:
- Estimating manufacturing cost
- Incorporating test requirements into production plan
- Designing procedures for fabrication of tools
- Maintaining records
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
