Description

SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician IV in Bedford, IN to support the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Hardware Support.

Job duties may include but are not limited to:

• Inventory control of projects, kitting parts and assemblies per written instruction
• Interaction with other facets of project development and support, such as: Leads, Government Customer, Procurement, Engineering support
• Be able to quickly complete tasking independently and as a team leader with detailed or general instruction
• Be detail-oriented and have the ability to read and comprehend written work cards, engineering drawings, and verbal instruction while determining work schedules to meet specified deadlines
• Communication of current progress, future deliverables, and projected issues (equipment and facility requirements, forecasted procurement needs to meet production schedules) to project leads

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.

• Qualified or ability to become qualified in Material Handling Equipment (forklift, hand truck, overhead crane, etc.)
• The ideal candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced, work environment and operate independently and collaboratively to accomplish deliverables
• Microsoft Office experience
• Experience with Material Movement, Supply and Provisioning, and Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation
• Ability to perform research, execute transactions and track material in Inventory Programs

CLEARANCE:

• Interim Secret to start work on the program; ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required
