SAIC Career Site is Hiring a System Integration Supervisor Near NORTH CHARLESTON, SC

Description

SAIC is seeking a Systems Integration Supervisor to join our team of professionals executing complex system integration efforts for the Navy and United States Marines Corps in Charleston, SC.

Note: This position is a remote/flexwork/work from home position with monthly travel to Charleston, SC. Preference on candidates in the tri state area (South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, etc.) that can commute for meetings approximately once a month.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This work primarily entails oversight of Naval Training Simulation projects and their associated milestone schedules, technical documentation, contract technical deliverables and resource coordination. The systems integration team is responsible for developing architectures and solutions to complex simulation hardware that may include pneumatics, hydraulics, electro-mechanical devices, mechanical systems, electrical systems and other technical functional areas. A subset of the developed solutions will be comprised of electro-mechanical systems validated in a systems integration laboratory (SIL) and on operational systems that will required embedded system design awareness.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Assesses resource demands across all Naval Training Simulation contracts and provides staffing recommendations to the program leadership team.
  • May allocate and direct resources across the Naval Training Simulation contracts.
  • Supports program schedule assessments and reports completion of technical work during weekly program status reviews.
  • Compiles list of contract technical deliverables and ensures the team completes those deliverables in accordance with internal and external milestones. Reviews technical content for compliance against applicable customer requirements and standards.
  • Guides the successful completion of major programs. Represents organization as technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Administers and executes policies, processes, and procedures that affect subordinate employees and the workflow of the work unit. Leads daily operations of work unit.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors in Engineering or related field of study and five (5) years or more experience. Masters in Engineering or related field of study and three (3) years or more experience. Additional years experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in execution of complex technical engineering efforts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity or direct experience with Microsoft Project.
  • Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
  • Ability to create and review technical documentation as required by the contract. These documents may include design notes, interface control documentation, spare parts allocations, environmental compliance data, maintenance manuals.
  • CAD/Solidworks background.
  • Navy Submarine/Surface warfare background. 
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
