General Statement Of ResponsibilitiesTo play an integral part in maintaining a service-oriented relationship with all district departments; and to assist in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the district's student activity and axillary accounting functions Essential Functions
ACCOUNTING DUTIES
Maintains Student activities fund and auxiliary operations fund;
Makes deposits, receives funds, and prepares and processes purchase orders;
Prepares end of the month reports for the Governing Board, Administration, club officers, etc.;
Performs other related tasks as assigned.
GENERAL BUSINESS DUTIES
Prepares warrants and processes vouchers,
Inputs journal entries;
Assists with balancing bank statements;
Takes phone calls and assists with questions and requests;
Operates machines, such as the FAX and copier, as needed;
Creates 1099's and other required forms and reports, as required;
Performs other related tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent;
Post high school education and/or training preferred;
At least one year of related experience;
Demonstrated proficiency with PC programs;
Experience with the operation of a ten-key calculator;
School district bookkeeping experience desired;
Ability to communicate and work well with staff and the general public.
