POSITION SUMMARY:
We are offering an exciting internship opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to gain hands-on experience in an electronics repair facility. As an intern, the primary responsibility of this role is to create clear and comprehensive procedural documents that effectively communicate complex technical processes to our target audience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate them into easy-to-understand instructions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information on technical processes and procedures.
Write and edit procedural documents, including user manuals, operation guides, troubleshooting guides, catalog of SKUs and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

Organize and structure content in a logical manner, making it easy for users to follow and understand.
Conduct research to ensure technical accuracy and completeness of documentation.
Revise and update existing documentation as needed to reflect changes in processes or systems.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and incorporate revisions into documentation.
Create and maintain document templates, style guides, and other resources to standardize documentation practices.
Ensure that all documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the development of training materials and other supporting documentation as needed
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program for Technical Writing, English, Communications, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience as a Technical Writer, with a focus on creating procedural documentation
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen attention to detail
Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate them into clear and concise instructions
Proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for technical documentation
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with SMEs and stakeholders
Experience with graphics software for creating visual aids and illustrations
Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools a plus
Familiarity with version control processes for documentation
