About the role

The HR Business Partner is responsible for the day-to-day human resource administration and support for the Little Rock, AR and Baltimore, MD markets. This may include but is not limited to: providing HR advisement, partnering with business leaders to achieve HR-related objectives, and leveraging technology to maximize efficiency. Performs employee-focused functions related to recruiting, on-boarding/orientation, employee relations, benefits, training & development, leave management, compensation, performance management, employee engagement, and occupational health and safety, as guided by company policy and procedures and as delegated by the VP of Human Resources. The HRBP will also play a key role in supporting business growth and strategic objectives as it relates to People.

What you"ll do

o Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute the human resource function and programs for the company.
o Responsible for utilizing creative and strategic advertising, sourcing, and recruiting tactics to attract talent to meet market growth targets and ongoing staffing needs.
o Responsible for onboarding newly hired employees to include the company and MVV overview, employee handbook and key policies overview, employment documents, and benefit enrollment.
o Assists with providing routine accurate advisement and excellent customer service to physicians, employees, and prospective employees as it relates to HR and payroll.
o Actively participate in, and provide counsel to, operations management in assigned market(s) on company, HR, payroll policies and applicable employment laws to ensure compliance and effective management of employee relations to support a positive company culture.
o Works closely with operations managers in drafting corrective action documents and coaching managers on employee disciplinary meetings. Participates in terminations and leads investigations. Consults and escalates employment relations matters to the VP of HR, as needed.
o Provides training and coaching for leaders related to effective ways to foster career development, inspire and develop employee motivation and engagement, employee relations, communication, performance expectations, applicable labor laws, as well as how to discuss employee performance and to recognize exemplary service.
o Collaborates with operations leadership regarding continuous process improvement and strategic projects within the human resources function. Proactively provides support, input, and assists with the execution.
o Assist with company benefit administration to include enrollment forms, plan questions, claims resolution, and open enrollment.
o Process and manage workers' compensation injury claims and leave of absence requests.
o Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications.
o Respond to various information requests from governmental agencies, such as unemployment, in a timely manner.
o Establish and maintain HR records and reports. Enter, maintain, and/or process information in the HRIS/payroll system. Run HR reports, as needed in a timely and accurate manner.
o Routinely review HR metrics, with emphasis on employee turnover to analyze trends and make recommendations to leadership on strategies to address.
o Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency and services performed.
o Must have the ability to travel between practice locations in assigned market(s), as needed.
o Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor"s degree in Human Resources or Business required.
    • Five (5) or more years of comprehensive human resources experience required.
    • Healthcare industry experience preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications and HRIS navigation (Rippling experience preferred).
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
    • Knowledge of local, state, and federal labor and employment laws
    • Proven track record of working independently and utilizing solid critical thinking skills for complex problem solving.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
    • Experience with talent acquisition/onboarding, employee relations, benefits advisement, employee engagement/retention, performance management/compensation, and leave management.
    • Excellent written and oral presentation skills, with proven ability to present and explain information to diverse audiences.
    • Strong business acumen and knowledge of the healthcare industry
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Robust prioritization skills, with the ability to reprioritize and respond to urgent management requests.
LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS
    • PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10-25%
