Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners at Sagamore Children’s Psychiatric Center are part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team that provides patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances.
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners at Sagamore Children’s Psychiatric Center:
· Provide psychiatric assessments, crisis intervention, and medication management
· Obtain, review, and update health information.
· Work with treatment teams, attend meetings and serve on committees to improve individual outcomes.
· Provide clinical guidance and training to nursing staff.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Certification and current registration as a Nurse Practitioner in a psychiatry practice area by the New York State Education Department.
o Requirement for prescribing medication: Must meet the current requirements as prescribed by the New York State Board of Nursing.
