Safran is Hiring a Maintenance Scheduler/Planner Carbon Plant Near Walton, KY

Job description

Responsibilities of Position:
  • Schedule maintenance personnel for work order assignments, preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, and radio calls
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and work request system to assign maintenance work orders
  • Manage spare and expansion parts, including critical chain process items
  • Coordinate with other departments to plan and schedule maintenance tasks while minimizing or eliminating disruptions to the production process
  • Attend maintenance and coordination meetings to coordinate maintenance activities with other departments
  • Assist maintenance personnel and Purchasing in researching and ordering the proper parts when necessary
  • Support continuous improvement ideas in order to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost
  • Prepare and develop technical documents and standard maintenance procedures for use by maintenance and production personnel as needed
  • Assist maintenance staff with daily activities as needed
  • Coordinate and manage to completion maintenance projects as assigned
  • Assist with the coordination of TPM activities on various equipment and areas
  • Perform other related duties as required

Physical/Environmental Scope of Position:
  • Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment
  • Subjected to outside and inside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, oils, dirt, and other related industrial hazards
  • Work in/near electro-magnetic fields created by high temperature induction furnaces
  • Must demonstrate the physical capacity to meet the demands of the "Light" Job Placement Assessment (JPA) as administered by St. Elizabeth Business Health Services

Job requirements

Experience/Education/Certification Required:
  • Associate's Degree in a related technical field and three years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment, or five or more years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment
  • Strong computer skills that include Microsoft Office
  • Preference given to applicants possessing the following:
  • Lean manufacturing experience (certification a plus)
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
  • Working experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Maintenance/engineering experience with the following:
  • Boiler systems
  • Induction heat treatment furnaces
  • CNC machines
  • Leadership/Supervisory experience
