Safran Cabin is Hiring a CNC Machine Operator Level One 2nd Shift Near Marysville, WA

This role includes the duties of the following position: CNC Machine Operator. Operates computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines such as, but not limited to; milling machines, lathes, turning centers and horizontal mills used for the construction of aircraft interior structural and non structural parts, such as floor fittings, aluminum trims, counter tops and other various aluminum, stainless steel and phenolic parts used in aircraft interiors using engineering drawings, company and customer specifications. Adheres to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints and work orders. Documents the materials and processes used in the process to maintain traceability of product. Operates CNC machine in a safe manner, including: Loads programs into CNC machine and execute program cutting of the material. Cuts raw stock to approximate size necessary for part being machined. Secures and fixture raw stock of material into machine. Squares material prior to running program if necessary. Monitors the operating of the machine to ensure proper program performance. Deburs completed machine parts as time allows. Provides feedback to supervisor and programmer as to the performance of the program and tooling used for cutting the material.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience: 0-3 years of experience. Computer Skills: Familiarity of the basic operation of CNC machine and the understanding of G and M code is preferred or the ability to learn is mandatory. Description: Entry level position within field. Other Skills: Requires little to no experience in discipline Conducts routine tasks as directed Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment The ability to read and write English at a level necessary for successful job performance. Good hand/eye coordination a must. Requires sensitivity to safety regulations and requirements. Must be able to self-inspect work and correct discrepancies in a timely manner. Must meet or exceed current training requirements. Understand the concept of utilizing work orders.
