Job Summary:

As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations within our organization. This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to financial record-keeping, analysis, and reporting. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and understanding of accounting principles will contribute to the overall success of our accounting team

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, verify transactions, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Assist in the vendor maintenance and required documentation (W-9), reviewing purchase orders and other projects as required.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Assist in the generating and sending of invoices to customers, track payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies.
• Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and budgetary guidelines. Provide support and guidance to employees on expense-related matters.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as needed by Controller.
• Assist payroll department in processing payroll data, garnishments, new hire paperwork, unemployment responses and other projects as required by the payroll manager.
• Assist Sr Staff Accountant with month-end processing as required, including but not limited to documents gathering, investigating transactions, credit card reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Other projects as required by Controller.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, and payroll taxes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in accounting software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Focused, able to multitask and work well with others.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred but not required. 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
