Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Floor Assembler Team Lead. This is a hands-on working lead position within the assembly department. You will assist the supervisor and manager with various tasks related to the supervision and coordination of Assembly. You will also assist in maintaining a structured work environment that benefits both the employees and customers, ensuring efficiency and productivity. Acts as a liaison between the supervisor, manager, and other staff, ensuring that procedures are being followed, while also suggesting ideas for streamlining processes. This is a full-time position.
Duties/Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Floor Assembler Team Lead. This is a hands-on working lead position within the assembly department. You will assist the supervisor and manager with various tasks related to the supervision and coordination of Assembly. You will also assist in maintaining a structured work environment that benefits both the employees and customers, ensuring efficiency and productivity. Acts as a liaison between the supervisor, manager, and other staff, ensuring that procedures are being followed, while also suggesting ideas for streamlining processes. This is a full-time position.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Confer with supervisor and manager to coordinate operations and activities within departments.
- Give instructions to workers (e.g., about work specifications, equipment operation).
- Monitor and control materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or faults.
- Monitor assembly line workers' performance.
- Control quality and quantity of production.
- Participate in the work activities of assemblers.
- Conduct or arrange training on job-related skills for workers.
- Ensure OSHA required safety standards are met and enforced for all employees in the department.
- Recommend and implement initiatives such as new techniques, improved work instructions, etc.
- Work cohesively with team lead, supervisor and manager.
Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adjust work schedule when needed.
- Moderate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP Software is required.
- Ability to multi-task and must be organized.
- Must be familiar with manufacturing processes.
Education and/or Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of work experience required.
