Role Description:

In the role of Solution Architect, you will be part of a growing and energizing team that lives by Safety Nationals Core Values: Relationships, Integrity, Teamwork, Balance, and Stability. You will work closely with the AVP of Solution Architect and his team. Your contributions of creating deliverables for managing the organization's portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions will be felt throughout Safety National.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Solution Architect will include proactively and holistically leading and supporting the development and management of portfolio of solutions. Solutions include projects and products, systems (Including applications, technologies, processes and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services. Your understanding of the concepts of business goals, objectives and business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams and business processes and their importance in solution architecture. The solutions architect provides the necessary leaders, analysis and design tasks related to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.

The ideal candidate is someone who has the ability to design and implement cloud solutions. Some of the essentials skills required of you in this role are, experience in cloud administration and development, particularly in the Microsoft Azure environment. Experience establishing and improving infrastructure-as-code capabilities and practices, preferably Terraform. Prior experience with Microsoft Azure environment, Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD tools such as Github Actions is preferred.

Qualifications:

Education:

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of working experience in IT or related field
• Possess 5 or more certifications within the job area
• 3 plus years' experience in cloud administration and development.
• Experience establishing and improving infrastructure-as-code capabilities and practices, preferably Terraform.
• Experience establishing and improving Observability platforms and practices, such as OpenTelemetry
• Skilled at influencing, guiding, and facilitating stakeholders and peers with decision making.
• Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Skilled at understanding the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.
• Proficient in translating future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements.
• Ability to propose and estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• P & C Insurance experience a plus.
• Experience working in a SAFe environment.

In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target salary range for this position is $122,000 to $196,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
