Role Description:

In the role of Senior Planning and Reserving Accountant (internally known as, Senior Planning and Reserving Accountant), you will be responsible for performing forecasting, budgeting and reserving analysis functions required by the company.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a will include:

• Loss Reserve Analysis - Quarterly, review actuarial loss reserve exhibits and ceded IBNR actuarial exhibits for data integrity
• Assist with the preparation of the five-year financial projections for Delphi Financial Group, including premium projections, projection narratives and plan splits by month
• Monthly Actual vs. Plan analysis of controllable expenses for each entity within the Safety National organization, including annual expense budget compilation.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's in Accounting is required

Required Qualifications:

• 2 - 5 years' experience, preferably with Big 4 CPA firm
• Attention to detail is critical
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Proficiency in Windows Office suite programs, particularly Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Able to prioritize tasks and complete duties within a specified period
• Planning or Internal Audit experience a plus
• Insurance industry experience a plus
• CPA designation a plus

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
