General Summary:

An Intensive Case Manager (ICM) at Safer Foundation is responsible forassisting clients obtain vocational training, recruitment, engagement, referral, case management and administrative responsibilities. He/she acts as a coach and trainer forSafer clients enrolled in the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program. The ICM provides effective, comprehensive, and holistic services to each of the clients on his/her assigned caseload. This positionworksacrossagency departments andassistsinrecruitingfortraining and career pathwaysrelated to Healthcare, Transportation, Advanced Manufacturing, Hospitality, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Interface andService:

• Conducts contacts, registrations, and assesses clients’ needs and barriers to employment.
• Identify client’s suitability and eligibility forWIOA and convey results to client.
• Execute the processes of the (ASCEND) Model as prescribed assessing readiness for employment utilizing Motivational Interviewing.

• Assistclients with mutually agreed upon training and employment goals as outlined in an Individual Career Plan (ICP).
• Maintain client engagement from program enrollment through services and for 12 months of follow-up through a variety of means: phone calls, text, email, TEAMs, Accession, or social media. 

• Work one-on-one with clients to address issues that arise during the program that threaten employability and refer to appropriate services as needed. 
• Complete special projects along with routine expectations when it is required. 

Stakeholder Outreach and Recruitment:

• Attendance at outreach events thatresults in attendees engaged with programmatic information provided and follow-up (one to one, prescreen, or orientation appointments)documented. 

Tracking, Document, and Reporting:

• Maintain ongoing audit ready case files.

• Maintain relevant and timely data entry in Salesforce (Birdseye) and other funder database systems daily and/or reports as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to write and communicate clearly and effectively present information in individual, small and large group settings.

• Knowledge of employment barriers people with criminal records.

• Practical and critical thinking skills for servicing challenging and/or resistant clients.

• Proficiency in word, excel and power point.

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or a minimum of 2years’ experience is preferred.
