SafeGuard Services, LLC is Hiring an Area Environmental Supervisor Near Pembroke, FL

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of custodial employees. Reports to the Area Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the effective supervision and administration of custodial activities including scheduling, performance management, employee relations, prioritizing and assigning work and related activities.

Conducts inspections and investigates tenant complaints to ensure quality and scope of completed work meets standards. Inspects work and trains staff according to green cleaning standards. Assists with ensuring specified contract services are provided by contractors through inspection of work.

Monitors, inventories, and distributes materials, supplies, and equipment as needed; coordinates the operation and care of custodial tools and equipment. Develops, updates, and evaluates work and safety standards, policies, and procedures. Operates cleaning equipment as necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

· Supervision - Knowledge of leadership techniques, principles, and procedures to assign work, schedule, and train staff.

· Cleaning Methods - General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment to include the operation of heavy commercial cleaning equipment such as high-powered buffers and vacuums.

· Safety – Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, methods and techniques associated with the use of hazardous chemicals and common cleaning equipment.

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Interpersonal Relationships/Customer Service – Develops and maintains cooperative and professional relationships with employees and the public. Effectively responds to routine inquiries and disputes.

· Time Management - Plans and organizes daily work routine. Establishes priorities for the completion of work in accordance with sound time-management methodology to meet strict deadlines.

· Judgement/Decision Making – Uses logic and reasoning to understand, analyze, and evaluate situations and exercise good judgment to make appropriate decisions.

REQUIRED ABILITIES

· Coordination of Work – Ability to establish and implement effective administrative programs and procedures. Ability to plan and organize daily work routine. Establishes priorities for the completion of work in accordance with sound time-management methodology. Attends and maintains a calendar for meetings, deadlines, and events. Performs a broad range of supervisory responsibilities over others.

· Equipment Operation – Ability to use equipment and cleaning materials efficiently and economically.

· Communication – Ability to listen and understand directions, information and ideas presented verbally or in writing.

COMPANY CARD

· Use of the corporate credit card is for gas, business expense.

· Personal expenses may not be charged to the corporate credit card.

· All receipts for charges to the corporate credit card must be submitted each month to the finance office along with a monthly expense report.

· The corporate credit card must be returned to the office manager or to human resources immediately upon termination or resignation, or at any time upon request.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Acceptable general background check, to include a local and state criminal history check and a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

This position requires pre-employment medical evaluation.

The job is considered Essential Personnel and will be required to work during and following natural disasters and emergency situations.

Supervisors are required to understand, utilize, and implement eHub in their daily operations. Supervisors are responsible for the performance, training, and utilization of eHub by their employees. Negligence of these tools will result in corrective action.
