Job Description:
* We are looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated Swim Instructor to help infants, toddlers and children develop proper swimming techniques, develop their water safety skills and improve their confidence and love for the water.
* Our swim lessons take place in a heated pool, and they generally last 30 minutes/lesson. All lessons are private swim lessons (one-on-one instruction). The Swim Instructor's responsibilities include evaluating each student's performance during swim sessions, providing appropriate feedback, following our Swim Program lesson plan template and applying the template to your own teaching style.
* To be successful as a Swim Instructor as a part of our Safe Swim Academy team you should demonstrate patience and enthusiasm and be able to motivate students to accomplish their swimming goals. Ultimately, an exceptional Swim Instructor should be apple to communicate effectively with age appropriate language with their clients, professionally with parents, and be able to ensure water safety is always of the utmost importance.
Swim Instructor Responsibilities:
* Teaching swimming techniques, swimming strokes, and water safety rules to students with varying swimming abilities.
* Assisting more experienced swimmers to enhance their swimming abilities.
* Assessing the progress of students and adjusting teaching programs accordingly.
* Planning swimming lessons that take into account students’ abilities and progressive development.
* Identifying incorrect swimming techniques and correcting students accordingly.
Qualifications desired:
* Experience teaching swim lessons
* Reliable transportation
* Passion for teaching & working with children
* Detail oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently
